The artifacts and features uncovered by archaeologists at Weston Canyon Rockshelter are precisely the kinds of items expected for a big game hunting camp. These included a wide range of stone tools (spear and arrow points and knives) and firehearths. Associated with these were hundreds of identifiable bones of the regional big game. As with most sites in the region the big game bones are all broken in ways suggesting that the bone marrow was being extracted and probably eaten.
