The Northern Shoshone and their ancestors were the probable users of the site. This is supported by the recovered artifacts ranging from historic glass trade beads dating to the era of the creation of the Lemhi and Ft. Hall reservations back through time as indicated by a large number of prehistoric arrow point styles common to the last millennia (although a few points suggesting earlier uses were also recovered).
