Corn Creek is located on the north bank of the Salmon River deep in the Northern Rocky Mountains of central Idaho. It is situated on a low sandy terrace where the tributary of Corn Creek flows into the river. Vegetation on and around the site is relatively lush including introduced grasses, several large ponderosa pines along with numerous shrubs such as syringe and wild rose.
