Preface

The first version of this guide was produced by the author in 1995 for members of the Idaho Archaeological Society. It has been revised many times since, and this is the seventh iteration. This version differs from previous ones by including a significantly revised classification key and a few new point types. Plus, the naming of points is updated; but change and revision is the process of science. As we learn more previous interpretations are corrected or improved.
